Performance Issue: A Large Number of Records Are Stuck in MPS_STAGE_MESSAGE Table (Doc ID 1937981.1)

In Store Inventory Management (SIM) 14.0.1, when attempting to process a large number of messages in MPS_STAGE_MESSAGE table, the performance is extremely bad and the following error occurs in the log:

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create many new messages in Retail Merchandising System (RMS) and let them flow to SIM.
  2. SIM almost stops processing any message in table MPS_STAGE_MESSAGE.
