Planning BOM Forecast Explosion For Components Is Not Spreading Correctly To 4/4/5 or 5/5/5 Manufacturing Calendar (Doc ID 1939344.1)

On : 12.1.3.9 version, Memory Based Planner in All instances

Users are on 12.1.3 and have applied VCP 12.1.3.9 Patch 16974659 - They are using 64 bit Linux MBP MSONWL64.ppc 120.3.12010000.338 and 64 bit Linux Snapshot MSCNPL64.ppc 120.2.12010000.81
They are running an unconstrained plan and they're doing forecast spreading and explosion in the plan options. Spreading for regular standard items works as expected with 5/4/4 calendar. However they see excessive spreading when they are using a Planning BOM item. There's overlap between periods of the forecast spread for the planning bom. This occurs in 33 days/26 days/26 days spread which is not right since they're using 5/4/4 calendar for bucketing. They use Demantra forecast (local) which comes over in monthly buckets but they make a change to the msd_dp_scn_entries_denorm table to make sure it's at the period start date based on the 5/4/4 calendar.

For 5 week period bucket 22-SEP-2014 it spread 33 times in daily buckets for qty = -185.575758 from 22-SEP-2014 until 05-NOV-2014 - expected this to stop spreading 24-OCT-2014

For 4 week period bucket 27-OCT-2014 it spread 24 times in daily buckets for qty = -209.576923 from 27-OCT-2014 until 02-DEC-2014 - expected this to stop spreading 21-NOV-2014

For 4 week period bucket 24-NOV-2014 it spread 24 times in daily buckets for qty = -217.076923 from 24-NOV-2014 until 30-DEC-2014 - expected this to stop spreading 19-DEC-2014

Expect planning bom explosion forecast spreading to honor 5/4/4 calendar and not overlap and spread quantities outside these calendar buckets

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Confirm using 5/4/4 calendar
2. Setup planning bom's and forecasts and collect data
3. Run unconstrained plan with forecast spreading and explode enabled in the plan options
4. Regular discrete item explode and spread as expected
5. Planning BOM's explode but are spread too much and cross over 5/4/4 calendar boundaries and create overlap
