Last updated on MARCH 06, 2019

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On BRM 7.5 PS6, Subscription Management

Issue:

Core dump in OOTB (Out of the Box) opcode for MODIFY_CUSTOMER/PURCHASE_DEAL service creation

Description:

Core dump got generated when a discount is not available in BRM and if the input is not passed by AIA in the MODIFY_CUSTOMER/PURCHASE_DEAL opcde call to create service.
The problem is DISCOUNT_OBJ is passed incorrect in the opcode "op_cust_modify_customer".

Seems like the following is the cause of the issue:-

It is a RODOD solution and pricing is needed in Siebel as well and in BRM. If modules are not synched sometimes the poid is passed in wrong fashion. Which is for sure wrong. However, in any scenario BRM code should not CORE.
