Convergence Shows c:\fakepath When Uploading An Attachment (Doc ID 1944752.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 19, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Convergence - Version 2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On Safari, when we upload an attachment in Convergence, it prefixes c:\fakepath to the file name.  This seems to be a common issue in HTML5.

Also occurs on Browser/Platform =  Mac OSX / Chrome20.0.1132.47.
NOTE: This issue is not reproducable with Chrome on Windows7.
Locale = any
 1)  Login to Convergence and go to Mail
 2)  Click on Write. Click on Attach and choose a file (say testfile1.txt).
 3)  Observe the file path showing up on this compose window .  It shows as "C:\fakepath\testfile1.txt" .
This was noticed only on Chrome/Mac OSX.
This is not happening on Chrome browser when on other OS - like Windows (it shows only the filename properly on windows/chrome)
