MSR Status Always Shows as Offline

Information in this document applies to any platform.
In Oracle Retail Point-of-Service (ORPOS), the Magnetic Swipe Reader (MSR) : Verifone MX 870 device status shows as offline allthough the MSR device is working fine.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Start POS application.
- Go to F3 Administration.
- Click on F4 Manager.
- Click on F3 System Status
