While Editing Redline BOM, BOM Item Is Not Redlined Unless Changes Are Saved When Search to Add Functionality Is Used to Replace the BOM Item Number (Doc ID 1945865.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 24, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Agile Product Collaboration - Version 9.3.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When redlining BOM item on ECO, redline does not appear when the item is replaced with searched item. The redline appears only after Saving the change.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. From Web Client, create Item: P01, and add a BOM item P02.
  2. Create ECO for Item P01.
  3. Go to Affected Items tab, and add item:P01.
  4. Select item P01, and see P02 shows in Redline BOM tab.
  5. On the Redline BOM tab, press More > Full Display Mode.
  6. Click Search, and search for any existing item, and double click the item in the Item Search result (i.e. P03).
  7. See the Item Number has replaced from P02 to P03. But do not see any redline. The expectation is to see the BOM item being redlined.
  8. Save.
  9. Now the redline appears and you can see P02 is redline replaced with P03.
