IMAP ID Response Is Always 'NIL'

Goal

One of the supported standards of Messaging Server [ http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E63708_01/doc.801/e64178.pdf#1261 ]is RFC2971, where the IMAP protocol allows a mail client to identify itself to the server.
More details can be found in the RFC specification itself.

An example of such a transition where a Thunderbird mail client has connected and logged in to the Messaging Server  :

with 'C:' being the client and 'S:' the server's response.


However, as can be seen in the above, the Messaging Server's response is limited to 'NIL'.

Can this be altered by some configuration setting ?

We would like to be able to have the server provide useful ID information such as name, version, and vendor.
The intention is eg. to collect telemetry (gathering of statistics and debug information) from a client side perspective.
