RMS batch process 'stkupld' cannot count quantity for items with unit of measure (UOM) expressed in KG or M.  The following error occurs:

"stkupld_01~<TIMESTAMP>~process~~0~ORA-0000: normal, successful completion~@0PACKAGE_ERROR@1ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small@2DISTRIBUTION_SQL.DISTRIBUTE"

 Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a stock count in RMS for warehouse <WH1> (1 virtual warehouse <VWH1> + 35 virtual warehouses like <VWH1>, <VWH2>, <VWH3>, etc.).
  2. Run batches stkxpld, prepost and stkupd.
  3. Choose an item with standard unit of measure = 'M'.
  4. For this item in table STAKE_SKU_LOC make sure the below data exists:
    a.  For warehouse=<WH2>: STAKE_SKU_LOC.snapshot_on_hand_qty = <SNAPSHOT_ON_HAND_QTY1> and snapshot_in_transit_qty = <SNAPSHOT_IN_TRANSIT_QTY>
    b.  For other 34 virtual warehouses STAKE_SKU_LOC.snapshot_on_hand_qty = <SNAPSHOT_ON_HAND_QTY2> (equal for each)
  5. Load file for <WH1> warehouse with inventory result. In file quantity of this item = <ITEM>
  6. Run batch stkupld. Batch fails with error "ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small" for some items with standard unit of measure in KG or M.
