If indexSvc is Not Shutdown Cleanly, Autobootlist Information is Lost (Doc ID 1954269.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 10, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Indexing and Search Service - Version 1.0.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Starting with ISS version 1.0.5.21.0, while ISS server with indexSvc is processing an autobootlist with the "setautobootlist <filename> --reboot" option which causes indexSvc to rebootstrap those users over time even if they already exist, (much like autosync until the list is complete), if the service is shutdown, it writes the list to a file and resumes after service restart.

However, during an OS reboot of the system, all progress and the list was lost and had to be recreated from the listbrief output.
