How to Run the P6 EPPM Domain as a Windows Service

Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management - Version 7.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
The goal of this document is to outline the steps necessary to setup the P6 domain to startup through Windows Services. The document also includes steps on how to remove the services and how to troubleshoot them.
Oracle strongly recommends automating the WebLogic startup through NodeManager scripting (explained for P6 in Controlling the P6 EPPM WebLogic Domain Using Node Manager And WebLogic Scripting (Doc ID 1502593.1)) rather than creating Windows services.
The NodeManager scripting method provides the ability to remote control the domain and results in the same outcome as a Windows service - ensuring automated P6 EPPM startup after system reboots. Configuring P6 EPPM domain startup through Windows Services makes future tuning much more difficult, as it restricts the startup arguments (such as memory parameters) in the Registry, and will require the removal and recreation of the services if modification of startup arguments is required in the future.
