UDF - USER-DEFINED FIELD
Several service script were created to populate one of the User Defined Fields (UDF)s of person dimension with the person's email Identifier (ID).
These user exit codes (scripts) are writing the required info into flat files at the position of UDFs.
So, when extracting person dimension by passing the service script name, when running the extract batch, it will populate the corresponding UDF.
When the email ID alone of the person is changing, it must create a record in change log table so that this incremental change on email ID will also be extracted in the next incremental run and same update will reach in Oracle Utilities Business Inteligence (OUBI).
As of now there are triggers which are inserting records into change log whenever there is insert/update/delete happens for feilds other than UDFs.
What is the best approach to enable the same for feilds populated by service scripts?
