When the RTLOG UOM Quantity Field Uses the Entire Range (number(12,4)), the Database Value Is Truncated (Doc ID 1956894.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 17, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Sales Audit - Version 13.1.4.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When the RTLOG UOM quantity field uses the entire range (number(12,4)), the process that writes the value to the ReSA (Oracle Retail Sales Audit) database tables truncates the value.

Example:

QTY = 12345678.9012
becomes
UOM_QTY = 345678.9012

Steps to recreate:

1. Upload RTLOG which have UOM_Quantity 12345678.9012
2. The UOM_QUANTITY field is not populated correctly as per the RTLOG.  It is populated as 345678.9012, and due to this, incorrect data appears on the ReSA screen.
