Unable to login to RDC Onsite (Doc ID 1961303.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Clinical Remote Data Capture Option - Version 4.6.0 and later
Microsoft Windows (32-bit)

Purpose

 This MOS note was created to troubleshoot RDC Onsite v4.6.0 login issues on Windows Server 2003 SP2.

When running the Oracle Clinical Remote Data Capture Onsite Installation Verification Test Releases 4.6, 4.6.x at the chapter '3.1.1 Start a RDC Onsite Session' the issue was - when trying to login to RDC Onsite from the RDC Onsite main login page, after entering any database user corresponding username/password and click the 'Login' button, the RDC Onsite page was loaded again displaying blank fields for username/password as if it has been refreshed without login the user to the RDC Onsite.

Checking the RDC default-web-access.log file(stored in Oracle_AS10gR2_home\j2ee\rdc\log\rdc_default_island_1) it was showing the following:
==================================
IP - - [08/Jan/2015:07:02:12 -0700] "POST /olsa/oc/rdcLogin.do HTTP/1.1" 200 12445
IP - - [08/Jan/2015:07:02:12 -0700] "GET /olsa/oc/cabo/jsLibs/Common2_3_6.js HTTP/1.1" 404 158
==================================

The issue occurs because the Patch 17561184 (OC 4.6.0.56) does not copy the later uix2.jar to the following locations :
OPA_Home\config\applib\rdc
OPA_Home\config\applib\opa
Oracle_AS10gR2_home\j2ee\rdc\applib

It seems that the patch only copies the uix2.jar file at the following location Oracle_AS10gR2_home\j2ee\opa\applib location.
