Information in this document applies to any platform.

On a 12.2.3 Decentralized Planning Configuration, ASCP Plan with priority pegging is not working correctly.

We are running ASCP Classic constrained plan with End Item Substitution check in the Decision Rules tab. The plan is using priority based pegging. The profile option – MSO:Demand Window = 90 and MSO:Supply Window = 90. The plan is recommending new substitute item for sales order in-spite of having enough onhand for the item.

There is a substitution chain defined in the system for item A -> item B -> item C. The total sales order quantity for item B is 582 and the onhand of item is 1399. Plan is still recommending for two sales orders to change item B to item C.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Setup the substitution chain for the items

  2. Run the plan

  3. Note the discrepancy mentioned above
