System Error Messages Should Not Look Like A Warning Message But Like A Critical Error
(Doc ID 1961629.1)
Last updated on JUNE 21, 2018
Applies to:Oracle Agile Engineering Data Management - Version 22.214.171.124 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
If the application detects inconsistencies between the database and the data model a warning message is given like:
Internal Database Error in "<internal module> Code <Code number>".
OCI Error: <Database Error Number>: <Database Error Text>.
As this is a critical error: Such messages need to be changed to a "Critical Error" instead of a "Warning Message". Furthermore they need to contain a request like:
'Contact your system administrator before clicking OK!'.
Additionally it should be possible for administrators to adapt this message (or at least a part of it) to include customer specific messages.
