DM_TT Returning ORA-24757 Errors When Sending Traffic To Two Logical Partitions (Doc ID 1963499.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 19, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Using BRM 7.5 PS8 + IMDB Cache Manager + TimesTen (TT), in order to run performance tests after BRM Upgrade (7.3.1 to 7.5).

Have deployed 2 TT logical partitions - 0.0.0.1 and 0.1.0.1, for the same physical schema (PIN01) using TT Active-Standby replication scheme.

Tried following test scenarios:

TS1 - send traffic to subscribers belonging to both logical partitions simultaneously
  => CM send traffic in parallel to [DM_TT_0_0_0_1 + TT_0_0_0_1] and [DM_TT_0_1_0_1 + TT_0_1_0_1]
TS2 - send traffic to subscribers belonging to 0.0.0.1 logical partition only
TS3 - send traffic to subscribers belonging to 0.1.0.1 logical partition only

In all cases above, used the same traffic load profile (50 data session attempts per second).

Encountered errors in DM_TT only in test scenario TS1:

These error propagated to CM and PCM_OP_ACT_LOAD_SESSION failed so the subscriber sessions are not rated.

No error is seen in TS2 and TS3 use cases.
