After applying the fix for BUG 19215526 - ORA-14450 WHILE TRYING TO CREATE PRICE CHANGE REQUEST FROM SIM
When attempting to create 2 consecutive price change events and second price event created to generate a conflict ,the following error is received on sim "Price change request failed. Please check log files for details"; but the details from the log file are misleading and not pointing to the real conflict.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1.Create price change for vdate+1 from sim
2. Create second price change for same item/location/ date from sim.
Notice that the error message is misleading "problem>[null, null, If Multiple Promotions Ind = N, then the new promotion must be the only promo component active within the current promotion or across other promotions]"
preliminary check: MULTI_ITEM_LOC_PROMO_IND must be 0 (N)
1. Create one promotion from vdate+1 to vdate+3 from sim.
2. For the same item/location from step 1 create a new promotion request for vdate+2 to vdate+4 (overlapping promotion).
Notice that fist two errors are misleading
[null, null, Promotion retail must be less than the basis retail.]
[null, null, An approved price change for this item/location/date already exists.]
