Purchase Order (PO) Autoclose [ordautcl] Does Not Cancel the Outstanding Quantities of the Order (Doc ID 1965924.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 27, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 13.2.4 to 13.2.6 [Release 13.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS) 13.2.x, the purchase order (PO) Autoclose program [ordautcl.pc] does not cancel the outstanding quantities of order if a valid open shipment exists in the system (I status) with shipment qty > ordered qty.  QTY_ORDERED and QTY_CANCELLED of the ORDLOC table remains the same, even after cancelling the order.  In addition, Open to Buy (OTB) buckets are not updated.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create an order and tie item/location to it with order qty as 10 units.  Approve the same.
  2. Book a shipment with shipdate D1 for 2 units and receive the same. QTY_ORDERED is 10 and QTY_RECEIVED is 2 in ORDLOC.
  3. Book a shipment with shipdate D1 for 10 units and leave it in 'I' status itself without receiving.
  4. Run ordautcl.pc.
  5. The PO created above gets closed, and ORDHEAD gets updated. However, QTY_ORDERED, QTY_CANCELLED, and other cancel-related columns do not get updated.  Neither of the OTB buckets get updated.
