Form ITEMCHILDRENDIFF Allows the Immediate Removal of Barcodes (Doc ID 1966454.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 17, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 13.1.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS) 13.1.6, a second level item barcode (EAN) can simply be deleted by placing the cursor on the barcode and clicking Delete on the keyboard.  It is expected that for items with diffs, form [itemchildrendiff] should not allow the immediate removal of an item barcode; but if allowed, it should place them into the DAILY_PURGE table.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a 3 level EAN item with differentiation on all children levels. Submit and approve it.
  2. After approving, go to the level 2 item. Form [itemchildrendiff] will open.
  3. Place cursor on EAN13 field of any item and press Delete on the keyboard.
  4. Item barcode will be immediately removed from table ITEM_MASTER.  No new records will be created in table DAILY_PURGE.
