How To Overwrite The Name Displayed On The From Line On Outgoing Mail?
(Doc ID 1969288.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 07, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 6.3 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
When an email client like Mozilla Thunderbird or Microsoft Outlook is used, the sent emails have a 'From' line which contains the end-users name just as they have it configured themselves in their email client.
Eg.
From: User - Nobody's - Perfect <user.perfect@example.com>
The intention is to get a more formal name scheme on the 'From' line, avoiding free wheeling in this area and administered in a central place.
Eg.
From: User Perfect <user.perfect@example.com>
How can this be set up?
