Messageserver Fails to Start with Error Loading Module Libjvm.so (Doc ID 1980451.1)

Symptoms

In Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) Infrastructure, the messageserver process fails to start.  The following errors are output when the agentstartup.sh is run from $FIC_DB_HOME/bin:

In IBM AIX:

Starting MESSAGE SERVER Service
exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program ./messageserver because of the following errors:
0509-022 Cannot load module /app/ficdb/lib/libSms.so.
0509-150 Dependent module /unix/libjvm.so could not be loaded.
0509-022 Cannot load module /unix/libjvm.so.
0509-026 System error: A parameter must be a directory.
0509-022 Cannot load module messageserver.
0509-150 Dependent module /app/ficdb/lib/libSms.so could not be loaded.
0509-022 Cannot load module .
grep: 0652-033 Cannot open msg_trace_file.log.
grep: 0652-033 Cannot open msg_trace_file.log.
FATAL ERROR :- MESSAGE SERVER start up failed. Exiting...

In Linux:

$ ./messageserver
./messageserver: error while loading shared libraries: libjvm.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory


As a result of this error, the messageserver process does not start and you cannot run batches from OFSAA Infrastructure.
