Symptoms

In Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS) 13.1.x, the DEALFINC batch has a critical performance problem when processing a large volume of data.


Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create cross references in FIF_GL_CROSS_REF table for ~10 million records.
  2. Create 8 fixed deals with collect date for tomorrow.
  3. Run the batch to process the deal.
  4. Verify that DEALFINC batch hangs after several hours of processing.
