LAST_STATUS_T, LASTSTAT_CMNT Are Set Even Though Service Closure Is Scheduled With A Future Date

On BRM 7.5 PS6.
when creating a schedule object for closure of an account the LAST_STATUS and LASTSTAT_CMNT get populated in this case.
Change the service status to closed with a future date using customer center.
Current date: 8-DEC-2014, service closure date selected: 8-JAN-2015 (see Flist from cm logs below)
1. Schedule is created correctly
2. LAST_STATUS_T and LASTSTAT_CMNT are being set even though the service status is not changing right now (will change on the future date)
