Oracle Knowledge - Version 8.5.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

There are 4 libraries of intents shipped with the Oracle Knowledge product as part of the dictionary objects.  The Documentation for these libraries is found in the Oracle Knowledge Intelligent Search Language Reference here - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/indexes/documentation/knowledge-documentation-1506742.html.  There is a library for Automotive, CustomerHelp, Finance and Telecom.  The other intent libraries are empty and would use the customer help intent hierarchy if needed.  There is no current plan in 8.5 or 8.6 to add to the intents or libraries.

To create a new intent hierarchy it is recommended that you take the Oracle Knowledge Dictionary classes offered by Oracle.  It is also recommended that you work with professional services in some way through the process.  Even if it is just for validation and review by someone with experience in this area.

This article is intended to address how users can make modifications to these libraries.
