Use $U5 in PORT_ACCESS to Enable Debug for a Specific Client (Doc ID 1986794.1)

Last updated on MAY 04, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 6.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

When you need to see a trace of what is happening at the SMTP or SUBMIT level, adding slave_debug to the channel receiving the message will accomplish that, but it can produce tons of log files, and on very busy systems, it can even have a performance impact.

Instead, you can use $U in a PORT_ACCESS mapping entry to enable debug only for connections from a specific client.
