We have Demantra 12.2.2 deployed on linux. And we face issue that engine starts failing when linux machine uptime is around 200 days
Below is the error we get
"URL "http://<SERVER>:<PORT>/engine_manager/EngineManagerStarterServlet?command=start&mode=1&profile_id=1" returned error:
-29273 : ORA-29273: HTTP request failed
ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_HTTP", line 1817
ORA-29276: transfer timeout"
As per the notes :
ENGINE Setup. TROUBLESHOOTING Most common Errors While Running the Analytical Engine (Doc ID 1416643.1)
Simulation Is Not Starting And Engine Logs Are Not Written - OCCI Connection Issue (Doc ID 1373888.1)
This is because Demantra engine uses Oracle 10G client and 10G client has this bug.
For Linux, the Engine can not work with Oracle 11 installed in path. - Engine uses Oracle Client 10. it will not work with Oracle Client 11.
We can not restart Linux machine everytime we face this issue. and we are trying to find a better solution for this
Can you please let us know if we can get a patch to resolve this issue with 10G or Demantra engine can be deployed with Client 11. (if not in 12.2.2.. then is there plan to support this in higher version)
Please let us know what are the options we have.
