Customer ID Column Type Mismatch Between ReSA and RA Tables Results in Record Rejection in SDE_Retail_SalesTransactionFact Job (Doc ID 1988579.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 14, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising Insights - Version 13.2.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In Retail Merchandising Analytics (RMA) 13.2.4, the column CUST_ID_NO of the XTERN_RDWT table is a number type, while the source column for this in the Retail Sales Audit (ReSA) CUST_ID in table SA_CUSTOMER is an alphanumeric value.  This causes the records that contain alphanumeric value to get rejected in RMA job SDE_Retail_SalesTransactionFact.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. In ReSA table SA_CUSTOMER, place alphanumeric values in the CUST_ID column.
  2. Run RMA job SDE_Retail_SalesTransactionFact.
  3. Check that these values get rejected because CUST_ID_NO of XTERN_RDWT table is a number type.
