Goal
Is it possible to have an enhanced "Entity Link" characteristic as following requirements?
The existing “Entity Link” characteristic will be enhanced in order to support linking an instance of a specification to other instances of a specification type. The linking between referenced instances will be maintained by ID (any form/expression of id that is unique per UIM DB)
The new characteristic can have the behavior of with the following enhancements:
a) Input: will have 10 possible input parameters (that can be any characteristic)
b) Specification selection: The user will select from a drop-down the Entity link target Specification
c) Conditions: There will a body section similar with the JPQL option that will support JPQL queries that allow definition of conditions/clauses for filtering the returned value lists.
d) The JPQL queries will support clauses with other entities & specifications
e) Output: The output returned by Entity Link will be the list of the instances.
f) However the output of the Entity Link has to support the return of other characteristic from the selected Specification (the user should be allowed to specify them).
