Demantra Installer Error: Installer User Interface Mode Is Not Supported. 12.2.4.1+ (Doc ID 1991356.1)

Goal

Customer is running a new install of 12.2.4.1 (patch 19973580) installer and when he clicks in the install.exe he gets the following message

Installer user interface mode is not supported.  The installer cannot run in this UI mode. To specify the interface mode use the -l command line followed by the UI mode identifier. The valid UI mode identifiers are GUI, console and silent.

Customer tried from

C:\xxx\p19973580_12241

AND

C:\xxx\p19973580_12241\Disk1\InstData\VM

And both the places he gets the same error


Support asked him to do the following which works, and brings up the Introduction screen of the installer:

Start the command prompt--> Start--> run--> cmd

cd to the path of the patch to where the install.exe is (C:\xxx\p19973580_12241\Disk1\InstData\VM)
then run the following command

install.exe -i GUI

 

But would need for the installer in the normal way.
