Allocation Ignores the 'On Order Commit Date' for Future Stock Calculation (Doc ID 1992499.1)

Last updated on APRIL 08, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Allocation - Version 13.2.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Oracle Retail Allocation is ignoring the rule configuration "On Order Commit Date" or "Weeks from Today" and always considers the Purchase Order (PO) allocation as Future Stock.  This miscalculation happens regardless of the way in which the maximum date is provided (using "On Order Commit Date" or "Weeks From Today").

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create and approve a PO allocation and allocate item A to store B.
  2. Create and calculate a second allocation for the same item and store from step 1.
  3. For the allocation created in step 2, set the rule to have an "On Order Commit Date" before the "Release Date" of the allocation created in step 1.
  4. Note that even though in the second allocation the "On Order Commit Date" was set in a way that the PO allocation approved in step 1 would not be considered as future stock, the system is considering the Future Stock.
