Goal
When OSM is using a Clustered WebLogic server with more than one node, OSM it is recommended that a new external JMS connection Factory be configured. For external facing connection factories the WLS parameter "server affinity" should be disabled. There is an internal connection factory that is used within OSM and on this one server affinity is enabled. Using the default connection factory supplied by the OSM for external interaction will create an imbalance in the order distribution between the nodes of the WebLogic server. The majority of the orders will be processed in one node.
Further, if the system is using an OSM partitioned database on Active-Active RAC, this also results in an unbalanced use of the partitions.
The default configuration of oms_connection_factory for server affinity is enabled. However, this is not appropriate for order submission to OSM.
When you submit an order from external order systems, the connection factory for the queue for order submission must have the server affinity disabled.
