Last updated on MAY 16, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management - Version 13.2.4 to 13.2.9 [Release 13.2]
Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management - Version 14.0 to 14.0.3 [Release 14.0]
Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management - Version 13.1 to 13.1.9 [Release 13.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When Store Inventory Management (SIM) is integrated with Retail Merchandising System (RMS), if a transaction level item is reclassified in RMS by changing its merchandise hierarchy, the hierarchy changes are not getting updated in SIM for the child items.  In RMS, the change is applied to both the transaction level item and the child items.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Check the hierarchy for a transaction item and its children items in RMS and SIM.
  2. Reclassify the transactional item to another DEPT CLASS SUBCLASS (for example, change the SUBCLASS).
  3. Run the RMS batch program "reclsdly".
  4. A Retail Integration Bus (RIB) modification message is published correctly from RMS.
  5. Check the items:
In RMS: select * from ITEM_MASTER where ITEM in (item_id, child_id); (check the DEPT CLASS SUBCLASS values)
      In SIM: select * from AS_ITM where ID_ITM in (item_id, child_id); (check ID_STRC_MR value)
