When Oracle Spatial Landbase is Selected, Pressing the Web Browser Button Opens the Wrong Website

Symptoms

When Oracle Spatial Landbase is loaded in the Viewer and the web browser button is pressed, the web browser loads www.oracle.com instead of opening the current view area in Google or Bing maps.

The following error is logged:

The issue can be reproduce with the following steps:

  1.  Load a feeder in the Viewer
  2.  Select Hide/Display from the Actions menu option and select "Oracle" in the Spatial Landbase drop down
  3.  Once loaded, select the "View geographic area in web browser" button from the menu bar
  4.  Notice www.oracle.com loads instead of Google or Bing maps
