Project Gets Errors In "Accept Production Deployment" (Checkin) Phase (Doc ID 1995522.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 23, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Commerce Platform - Version 10.0 to [Release 10 to 11]
Oracle Commerce Merchandising - Version 10.0 to [Release 10 to 11]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When choosing "Accept Production Deployment" after a project has deployed to production (which triggers the project checkin), you may see one of the following errors.

The key factors here as seen in the stack trace is that this occurs in VersionRepository.checkIn() (which shows that the problem is during checkin) and in VersionRepository.resolveRefresh() (which shows the problem is during particular code repairing potential corruption as part of the fix to: Bug 13146252 - In FlexUI Merchandising, category's list of child products is incomplete).

These errors will prevent the project from completing the checkin and cause them to be stuck, unable to advance until the errors are resolved.

If performance issues (or transaction errors related to transaction timeouts and performance issues) are seen, see Project Is Slow In "Accept Production Deployment" (Checkin) Phase (Doc ID 2300309.1) instead.

This will typically be seen when you were previously using Oracle Commerce (ATG) 10.0 to or 10.1 to 10.2 and then either:

(1) Upgraded to,, or or later (including 11.0 - 11.2.x)

(2) Applied a patch for Data Discrepancy Between BCC Flex UI And Content Admin UI (Doc ID 1480064.1), defect 13146252, or unpublished defects 16180380 or 18090051.
