CRYRUW32 Encrypts Differently in V12.4 when Compared to V12.3 (Doc ID 1997504.1)

Symptoms

CRYRUW32 utility is used to encrypt password for e.g. ODBC or JDBC connections. This appears to have changed from V12.3 to V12.4.

Encrypting the same password using the CRYRUW32 utility from each version and see different outputs.

C:\Users\amcalind>path=c:\fap123\dll

C:\Users\amcalind>cryruw32 abc
Encrypted string (1jxttXabEFMC00000)

C:\Users\amcalind>path=c:\fap124\dll

C:\Users\amcalind>cryruw32 abc
Encrypted string (4uFd9KWppHEHgvbNHaLPpw)


Different encrypted passwords are produced. When you compare V12.2 and V12.3 and the same encrypted password are output, but V12.4 produces different output.
