Customer reporting cancelled orders assigned only a pre-provisioning plans are getting stuck if a last task is made non-required.
Symptoms
PROBLEM STATEMENT
Customer reporting cancelled orders assigned only a pre-provisioning plans are getting stuck if the last task is made non-required.
When an Order in MSS that only has a Pre-Prov Plan assigned is cancelled, users have found that by Un-Requiring the last task on the Order, it gets stuck at Half Bar status. At this point the order is stuck. Re-setting task in the Service Request Hierarchy also is locked down where you can’t Re-Set any task that were actually completed.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
We would expect when un-requiring the last task on a Pre-Prov Cancelled Order that TBS would properly Flag the PSR and run the complete updates such as reverse any products that were in Pending Disconnect Status, Change any pending Products to Cancelled/etc. We necessarily wouldn’t have to be able to reset task in the Hierarchy if TBS automatically flagged the Order.
STEPS
1. Create an initial PSR (no service needed); 2. Assign any Pre-Prov Plan to the Order,; 3. Cancel the PSR,; 4. Complete the first couple task on the Plan, leaving one remaining task; 5. Un-require the last task.
»» Order gets stuck and will not Flag Finish.
Order gets stuck at Half Bar status. At this point the order is stuck. Re-setting task in the Service Request Hierarchy also is locked down where you can’t Re-Set any task that were actually completed. Of course we wouldn’t expect to be able to Re-Set an Un-Required Task but we are speaking of any that were completed at this point.
WORKAROUND
a. Search the order with problem using the Service Request Search window b. Select the order and right-click choose Task Maintenance c. Go to the Task Gantt or Task Lists tab
d. Right-Click the un-required task and choose Task Required e. Save changes.
f. Go to Work queue Mgmt and open/refresh the work queue g. The task shows up again, allowing to complete it.
