Manual Project Publication Does Not Appear to Publish the Project Immediately After the Action Was Triggered (Doc ID 1997662.1)

When project(s) are published manually, the project(s) do not appear to be publishing immediately and does not appear in the "View Service Status" window. 

There are also no publication-related errors found in any log as per "2. P6 Services log locations" detailed within document "Troubleshooting P6 Services Issues" (Doc ID 1577520.1)

When project(s) are manually submitted for publication, for the publication process to trigger immediately as well as display status of the publication process in the "View Service Status".

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Within P6 Web, go to Projects/EPS.
  2. Right-click the desired project(s) and choose "Publish Projects" from the drop-down menu (or right-click and choose Publish Project).
  3. Go to Projects or Activities window.
  4. Select Action Dropdown, and click on the "View Service Status"
  5. Note the project does not display in the service status list.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot publish projects manually.
