Control Plan Fails to Compile with Error "Compiled Data Exceeds Soft Limit XYZ > 262144"
(Doc ID 1999380.1)
Last updated on MARCH 27, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.0.0 to 5.0.1 [Release 4.0.0 to 5.0]Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)
Symptoms
On all versions of Oracle Network Charging and Control (NCC) below 5.0.2.0, a problem exists when an attempt is made to compile a large control plan (CP).
If the compiled size of the CP exceeds 262144 bytes, the following error is logged in the Compilation Report pop-up:
where:
- CP Name - The name of the Control Plan Data being (re)compiled
- CP Size - The compiled size of the Control Plan Data
This will most likely occur if the CP contains nodes which contain large amounts of data compiled into the node context (as opposed to reading the information from the database at runtime).
It is unfortunately not possible to tell which nodes will be "large" at build time. The Geographical Routing (GEO) Node is an example of a node which can have large compiled data.
Changes
Creation of a Control Plan with a high number of nodes and/or with nodes which contain a large amount of node data.
