Generating Work Orders using batch still requires the user to click "Generate Activities", which evaluates every possibility, giving the user a count of how many activities will be generated and then presents the user an option to "Generate in Batch". So effectively the only action that is batched is the creation of activities. During the time that the system is evaluating every record, the UI hangs/times out. This behavior was observed for a WO evaluating around 500 assets, so the performance would only be worse when evaluating 1000s of assets.

To alleviate any UI performance issues, Work Orders should allow the user to set the Batch Generate flag directly on the WO.
