Search With Prompt Checked Cannot Search Japanese Character Correctly (Doc ID 2002113.1)

Symptoms

On Advanced Search, after checking "Prompt" check box and perform search with Japanese character, no search result is returned. If the "Prompt" is unchecked, search result will return.

 
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1) Create the following object in web client

Number : P00321
Part Type : Part
Description:xxxx阿井雨得尾化x

2) Logout and Login to web client

3) Perform advanced search

Items : Part : Object Search

Attribute : Name/Number/Desc  
Operator  : Contains Phrase
Prompt    : null
Value     : 阿井

==> Object for 1) will return

4) Items : Part : Object Search

Attribute : Name/Number/Desc  
Operator  : Contains Phrase
Prompt    : check

Enter Search Values     : 阿井

==> No search result returns
