Android 5.0 (Lollipop) Client Can Not Connect To Older Messaging Server (Doc ID 2002655.1)

Goal

When attempting to set up a secure IMAP email account on an Android 5.0 device to connect to Oracle Communications Messaging Server 6.3,
the following errors appear during setup:

Account check error
Incoming mail server (IMAP): Error connecting. Handshake failed.
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): Error connecting. Handshake failed.
Please make sure the data is correct.
