Item/Loc Updates In RMS Are Overriding The Promotional Price In SIM With The Regular Price (Doc ID 2003104.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 16, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management - Version 13.2.8 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

NOTE: This issue is observed in both SIM 13.2.X version and also in SIM 14.0.X version. This note contains the solution to both versions. Please use the proposed solution correctly based on your SIM version.

In Store Inventory Management (SIM) application, find that, Item/Loc updates in Retail Merchandising System (RMS) are overriding the promotional/clearance/regular price in SIM with the items' original unit price. SIM is overwriting the current price of the item whenever a change is made to item in RMS.

Steps to recreate:

1. Find an item/Store combination, where the item is on a promotion/clearance or on a different regular price than it's original unit price
2. Edit the item in RMS and change it's description
3. Find that RMS publishes ItemLocMod messages to SIM
4. In SIM find that the ongoing promotion/clearance/regular price (different from item's original unit price) is over written with it's original unit price
