Decimal Point Discrepancy In TRAN_DATA Posting For Tran Code 29 (Doc ID 2006559.1)

Last updated on JULY 03, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 14.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A shipment made against an allocation with upcharge demonstrates the minor decimal discrepancy noted in tran code 29 [Expense Up Charge].

Example:

Value calculated in TRAN_DATA = 989.4095.
The corresponding tran code 30 total cost is 5274.0689.

Taking an exchange rate of 18.76%, the direct calculation is as follows:

5274.0689*0.1876 = 989.4153256

But the cost in TRAN_DATA for tran code 29 is 989.4095  (a difference of 0.0058256 - less than 1 cent)

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Define a upcharge for from and to location.
  2. Create an allocation to the configured store.
  3. Create a shipment.
  4. Look for 30, 32 and 29 transactions.

The issue can also be demonstrated with Transfers.
