PI Under Load Errors with "Error Querying BE" and "Error Opening FIFO: No such file or directory" (Doc ID 2009022.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 22, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 5.0.2 to 5.0.2 [Release 5.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using the Provisioning Interface (PI) to run a command that requires interaction with the VWS, for example a CCSCD1=QRY, the PI request fails with a "Error opening FIFO: No such file or directory" and such a sequence of error messages appear in the PImanager.log file:

This problem happens with NCC 5.0.2.

It is expected that the those PI commands requiring VWS interactions properly complete.

Changes

This problem is influenced by the load and may happen under high PI traffic when the connection to the remote provisioning engine drops out.
