Unnecessary Annotate DB Transactions (Doc ID 2010134.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 26, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 7.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Using the imapd-txns-cmds-IO.d DTrace script from Doc ID 1351483.1 to investigate a performance problem, we noticed setannotation database transactions.

But the customer did not think any of their users were using the ANNOTATION extention -- see RFC 5257 and RFC 5464 and imcheck -d annotate.db did not show any.

If nobody is using annotations, why are there so many setannotation DB transacations?
