Deadlock Error ("ORA-00060: Deadlock Detected") During Chunk Conflict Check Processing (Doc ID 2010208.1)

Symptoms

In Oracle Retail Price Management (RPM) 13.1.7, we are getting a deadlock error during chunk conflict check processing.  On occasion, during conflict checking, the following error is received:


Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Approve multiple promotion components or details.
  2. If deadlock error occurs, note that promotion detail stays in conflict checking status, with RPM_BULK_CC_PE_THREAD status = 'I'. 
  3. Manual cleanup is required.


This occurs intermittently.
