CCSPART Scripts Fail When the Oracle Database is Running ASM (Doc ID 2016023.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 27, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 5.0.2 and later
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)

Symptoms

When deploying OCNCC (Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control) on an Oracle Database (DB) with Automatic Storage Management (ASM), the following two Charging Control Services Partitioning Scripts (CCSPART) fail due to the usage of the Unix "df" to determine available diskspace:

  • CCSPART_capacity_monitor.sh
  • CCSPART_maintenance.sh

To monitor available disk space on an Oracle DB running ASM, the "asmcmd" command needs to be used with the appropriate arguments.

Changes

Usage of ASM with Oracle DB.
