Data Sessions disconnects after Receiving an Update Request with 0 Units Granted, and Final-Unit-Indication (Doc ID 2017384.1)

Last updated on MARCH 10, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.4.1 to 5.0.0 [Release 4.4 to 5.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In some Diameter Control Agent (DCA) scenarios, for an Advanced Customer Service (ACS) customer, all data sessions are being disconnected when the computed reservation amount is equal to 0. There are cases where the charging system replies to an UPDATE REQUEST with 0 units granted (Grant Service Unit =v0) and shows the Final-Unit-Indication and action to terminate the session.

In all scenarios, the MSISDN performing data sessions has enough funds, also in the EDR the end_call_reason is 9 (disconnectedLegBNoFunds), which states that the MSISDN has insufficient funds.
