User loaded a new GLID 10000 (with description like "Recurring") in the BRM and then synced to PDC by running syncPDC. The GLID was created in PDC successfully.
When checked the PDC DB, the new GLID got created with name="10000" and description="10000" which was not expected.
Upon analysis, found that the description of the GLID in BRM was not unique (in the table config_gl_t) but the name in PDC of GLID is supposed to be unique.
"Recurring" description is already assigned to GLID 100000 in BRM and the same is already synced to PDC earlier. So, GLID 100000 existed already in PDC with description="Recurring" and name= "Recurring".
As a result, syncPDC loaded description and name in the table PDC.GLID as 10000 and not the description provided in BRM( Billing and Revenue Management) for this GLID (which was "Recurring").
Now user is trying to change the description of the GLID 10000 in BRM to "Recurring New" and trying to syncPDC to update the name in PDC DB. The reason for this is so as to see this name in the PDC GUI GLID drop down. However, syncPDC is not updating the name in PDC.
Any reason for this behavior ? Is this a known bug in PDC?
