Configured ATO Item And Scheduling - Not Getting Right Results

ATP based on planning data
ATO Model with Flow line at Model level with capacity 10 / day
- model as Phantom Mandatory Component from feeder flow line that has capacity of 3/day - so this is the constraining resource.
When they enter the ATO model and configure and schedule, they get back the expected date - e.g. 15-APR
-- the order qty 3 was entered so that it used up capacity for date 15-APR on feeder Flow line
SO -- any new order entered for same qty 3 - would get ATP date of 16-APR and is fine.
BUT -- if they unschedule and reschedule the original sales order line, they also get 16-APR date and if you do this twice, then the date moves out another day to 17-APR
Resources availability will be freed up and re-used if order is unscheduled and reschedule
OR IF order is unscheduled and new order is entered, then that resource availability will be available.
getting wrong schedule dates and this can only be rectified by running collections and ASCP ATP plan.
